Japan's Kenzaburo Oe, awarded Nobel for poetic fiction, dies

Nobel literature laureate Kenzaburo Oe, whose darkly poetic novels were built from his childhood memories during Japan’s postwar occupation and from being the parent of a disabled son, has died.
